Milky, Baby soft skin

 Good morning, class!

Today we shall discuss history. Countess Elizabeth Bathory bathed in virgins’ blood to preserve her beauty. Wait, what? Don’t you dare think about doing that! Cleopatra has a better idea! *pulls you away from the antique bath and portraits of Bathory*

Bathing in milk is a recommended spa treatment, but why?
Milk is proven, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, to reduce acne. It contains zinc and vitamin A. Zinc is common for relieving acne and preventing it, and vitamin A (for cosmetic uses it is made in laboratories and known as retinoids) lessens skin inflammation.

What about wrinkles?
Vitamin A and vitamin B’s are a part of the extensive range of anti-oxidants that defies the effect of aging and revitalizes the skin for a more younger-looking you. Guess what? They are in milk – especially B12! (Oh, you needed more time to guess? Sorry!)
It also contains vitamin D that is vital for those who prefer the shadows instead of the sun’s excruciating UV-rays.

Fair enough, but what about the real reason why milk is so renowned?
My dear readers, it is lactic acid. Lactic acid does not only exfoliate the skin, unclogs pores and wash off dirt and oil, but DISSOLVES dead skin and impurities. Does it sound scarily awesome yet? It is also gentle enough to use near your eyes (it does absolutely nothing except give your vision a blurred white hue when getting it into your eyes). It’s calming and moisturizing too! So mix it with raw honey and oatmeal for a fun homemade exfoliating mask.

Making a milk wash a part of my daily skincare routine is the best idea I ever had. Milk gives you that soft, milky white, baby skin you deserve and it doesn’t take galleons to do the trick.

If you are a bit skeptical to use milk itself, look for products that contain 5% or 10% lactic acid.

So, ladies (and gents)! The cat is out of the bag! I hope you enjoyed reading my entry and forgive me for making it so short. If you have any further questions and concerns, or tips and requests, please comment or find me on twitter @ipetitpanda.

xoxo
Jello
