On hair health and growth...

Hey, guys! We're sorry for making you all wait this long, but exams and work has been really hectic for us right now. So please forgive us?
Unfortunately Sica won't be able to join me just yet, so this post is not our official grand opening. With that said, here we go~

A friend of mine keeps asking me how to make her hair grow faster, so this post is especially dedicated to her and everyone else with their hands in their hair.

Beautiful, long hair seems to be somewhat of a fairytale, but it doesn't have to be.

Your hair grows a minimum of half an inch every month. We are talking about the hair on your head, by the way - sorry for the guys who were looking for tips on facial hair! Anyway, growing your hair out can be quite frustrating! So here's what I tried~

My mom bought Bergamot Essence at our local pharmacy and poured a measured cup into my conditioner and Placenta hair/scalp-spray. It smelled nice and seemed to accelerate my hair growth, because my fringe grew too fast for me to manage. However, the same herb did not work for my mom, but it could have been due to work-related stress. Our research involved something like...

"A Chinese study looked at a combination of boxthorn and bergamot oils on the skin and on hair growth in mice. Compared with control group, the extract increased the activity of the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase and collagen in the skin, as well as promoting hair growth. These are very preliminary results, however, and caution should be taken since bergamot oil is known to cause blisters, sensitivity to the sun, and scab formations when applied directly to skin in humans."

It didn't give me blisters, but then again I didn't go into the sun very often either. Just keep it in mind!

Since a happy scalp equals happy hair, stop worrying so much! Your scalp often becomes red and sensitive for three reasons - allergies, sunburn/chemical burn, or too much bad stress. Good stress = studying for a test or being on time for an appointment. Bad stress = thinking stuff is getting too much and developing a negative outlook (basically when stress is eating your life like Pacman's girlfriend). When you stress, your hair fall out.
Also, avoid wearing hats unless you're out and about in the sun. Hats pull on your hair, causing them to break and thin out. Don't even fidget with your hair! Try to minimize the friction the best you can. That includes using a comb with wide spread bristles.
Stimulate your scalp! This is probably the most effective way to increase the rate of hair growth. Massage your head gently, without rubbing your scalp too much, whenever you wash it and apply a leave-in mask into your longer hair (especially the tips). It helps to turn your head over when blow drying.
Speaking of which, try to avoid or minimize styling treatments and stuff like serums (those often form product residue that clog the pores on your scalp and weakens the hair fibers).
Your hair growth might also depend on your diet. So eat healthy and take zinc, biotin and vitamin B supplements if you have to.

Remember not to fuss about it, because the myth that you lose what you fuss about is true!

We hope you found this informative and helpful. Good luck and goodbye for now.

    1. Hey, Shelvi!
I'm glad you liked the post and thanks for the advice! (:
I don't think so lol It's "enriched with Amino acids to help revive dehydrated, damaged hair".

Here's the ingredient list of the green one:
Aqua, Alcohol denat, Hydrolysed soy protein, PVP/VA copolymer, Polysorbate-20, Panthenot, Parfum (Frangrance), Benzyl alcohol, Butylphenyl methylpropional, Citronellol, Limonene, Geraniol, Hexyl cinnamal, Linalool, CI 42090, CI 19140.
      If that means anything xD

The one I really liked, though, is the orange one that looks like this -
